Advancing People are recruiting for a market-leading power generator company who are looking for an external Sales Engineer, to cover the South of the UK.
This rarely available technical sales role will be focused towards new business, utilising our client's extensive database of lapsed and potential clients', to gain the opportunity to meet with these clients on a face to face basis.
Visiting clients' on site throughout the South of the UK you will be creating technical quotes for upgrades, repairs or replacement generators.
Coming from a similar external Technical Sales Engineer role, related to Generators you will be pro-active in your approach, a great communicator and will be used to hitting and exceeding realistic sales targets.
As a market leader, potential contacts' will know who our client is and the reputation they have within their sector is superb, for their products and the service they provide, across the UK.
60-70% of the companies you will be targeting will be based in and around London, with ad hoc visits throughout the South of the UK - you will be based in a sensible location to cover this area with a full driving licence.
You will also receive warm referrals from non-technical sales executives and an internal sales & marketing team that run regular and targeted campaigns.
Once you have got new clients' on board you will also retain and grow these accounts, so the ability to hit your quarterly bonus, which is open-ended, will become more and more achievable as you continue to develop your portfolio of clients.

With an outgoing and organised approach, this is an excellent long term opportunity for someone with business to business external sales experience, to join a client that genuinely develops and retains talented employees.
A technically bias degree is desirable or candidates with relevant Sales Engineer experience will also be considered.
Our client is offering a basic salary of up to £40,000 with a realistic OTE of £50,000. There will be a company vehicle provided with fuel card, company credit card for expenses and 25 days holiday, in addition to Bank Holidays.
