Job Description

Advancing People are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a well known and forward thinking company in Bedford

Job role:-

  • Direct and manage project development from the pre-sales stage through to handover to Service (across schedule, cost and quality).
  • Define project scope, objectives and deliverables that support the company and customer business goals.
  • Define and ensure delivery of project success and key benefits
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated governance, quality and communications documents
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Estimate and manage the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
  • Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the allocation of required personnel from within the company
  • Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or contractors
  • Engagement and management of third parties and contractors
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
  • Delegate task and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
  • Identify and resolve issues within the project team
  • Identify, manage and mitigate all project risks
  • Identify and resolve issues within the project
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Track project milestones and deliverables
  • Develop and deliver progress reports and proposals
  • Proactively manage requests for changes in project scope, identify potential issues and devise contingency plans

Skills / Attributes required

  • Knowledge and experience of the complete project lifecycle, from presales through to implementation
  • Experience of managing projects form presales to handover to service delivery.
  • Strong customer management and communication skills

Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely when required and managing remotely as required

£45,000 plus performance bonus and company car scheme
