Advancing People are working closely with an award-winning multi-sited care provider, dealing specifically with adults that have learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour. Our client is looking for a proven Care Manager to lead and develop the existing team in one of their established homes, based in Bedford.

This is a challenging and hands-on Care Manager role, leading a Team Leader, 5 support workers, night staff and bank workers.

What does the role involve?

Responsibility for running the home and providing individual and personal service for 8 service users. Ensuring that the service provided is of the highest quality, enhancing the quality of life of service users, whilst remaining compliant with CQC outcomes. You will be tasked with supporting and developing the team whilst being given the opportunity to innovate and further develop what the building and home can offer - there will be full on-going support from our client, every step of the way.

When will I be working?

There will be shift work in this role to support the team and the clients, early shifts are 7:00/7:30am - 1:30/2:00pm, late shifts will be 2pm - 10pm with on-call responsibility shared amongst the team, working on a 5 out of 7 days pattern.

What is the salary?

A basic salary of £24,500 - £27,000 is available depending on experience with full to further develop.

What experience is required?

  • Proven experience of working as a Car Manager, with NVQ Level 5 or Level 3 qualifications related to Health or Social Care
  • A sound knowledge of Procedures and policies relevant to the industry including quality and safety standards including person-centred plans
  • Up to date relevant and mandatory training
  • Flexibility to work on a shift rota basis including weekends - 5 out of 7 days working
  • Excellent leadership, time management and above all caring skills
  • You must be a car driver to be considered for this role
