Advancing People Recruitment Specialists are recruiting for an Account Manager for a market leading, packaging design and manufacture company covering Central and Northern England alongside Scotland.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast growing business to proactively and professionally manage the commercial relationship with an agreed food service and food processor customer and prospect base to maximise the profitable revenue generated.
- Create and agree the business plan to deliver the sales and margin performance of key account/sector with the Sales Manager.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business sufficient to meet the targets agreed with the Company.
- Ensure the sales and margin performance of customers meets the Company target through:
- industry leading levels of account management, service and innovation achieved within portfolio;
- maximising the distribution of relevant branded ranges with the customer and their customers/consumers;
- maximising the development and performance of customer branded ranges;
- ensuring the cost to serve is commensurate with the scale and importance of the customer in profitability terms;
- maintaining and updating customer data within systems;
- excellent communication with all departments to fulfil the needs of customers, prospects and the Company and its brands.
- Report on performance against plan to Sales Manager and Leadership team.
- Report customer and competitor activity.
- Account Management experience within either the food or packaging sectors
- Experience and confidence in Field Sales
- High standard of communication - including questioning, listening, presentation, 1:2:1 and group
- Drive for results
- Proven recent and relevant track record of key account management success through own interventions
- Excellent attention to detail
- Key Account Management - to a high level relevant to packaging sector/market
- New Business Development - high level team based structured selling
- Commercial Awareness including business planning, opportunity evaluation
- Organisation and Planning
- Influencing - at all levels from C level to factory floor
- IT - competent using MS Office. Excel intermediate or better.
In return our client is offering a salary of £40,000 to £50,000 and a range of benefits. This is a full time, permanent position with great prospects for progression within a forward thinking and expanding company.
