Advancing People are recruiting for a leading International Charity who are looking for a proven Service Manager within their Bedfordshire Independent Living Division.
This hands-on Service Manger role will involve managing, supporting and motivating three separate teams consisting of Managers, Support Workers and Volunteers, located throughout the Bedfordshire area.

Initially for a fixed 6 month period, there is a strong possibility this role will become a long term permanent position.
With full support from the Regional Operations Manager you will be expected to work closely with three teams to ensure they have the support, guidance and training needed to deliver the area plan.
Your teams will be dealing with various long term and newly created projects related specifically to helping people that need care and support following an emergency, throughout the Bedfordshire region.
Maintaining wide ranging external relationships across Social, Healthcare and emergency services will be key to the success of this role and the teams under your management.
You will be developing and coordinating the local Independent Living services offered by the charity, ensuring these services are provided in a consistent and comprehensive way. Ensuring community needs assessments are carried out, whilst working within the local community.
Acting as the main liaison point with the assigned Independent Living partners and Stakeholders - we are seeking an excellent communicator with a proven track record of working within a similar role and sector.
As a budget holder, the role will involve monitoring and controlling budgets whilst ensuring compliance is met and procedures are correctly followed. Statistical records will need to be updated and reported in order to review the services offered.
With line management responsibility for the teams, recruiting new members of staff, inductions and training will be part of your role, including employees and volunteers.
This is a fast paced role, offering flexible working hours and location and will suit someone with the above experience that has a history of working closely with the NHS, CCG's, Assigned Trusts, Councils, Commissions and Social Worker Service Managers.
Basic Salary £25,000 Plus 36 days holiday (including Bank Holidays), Option to purchase 5 days annual leave, up to 6% contributory pension, flexible working policy, Staff discount card, staff healthcare vouchers and childcare vouchers.
