Job Description

Advancing People are recruiting for a Marketing Executive to join a award-wining company located on the outskirts of Bedford.

Reporting directly to their Sales & Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing, researching and writing content for online and offline media including websites, social media, and newsletters and campaigns where directed and across the company's brand portfolio. Responsibility for the organisation of exhibitions attended by the company and assisting in the preparation and implementation of campaigns and marketing plans

Primary responsibilities

  • Researching, preparing, updating and creating content for offline and online media
  • Management of social media
  • Organisation of exhibitions attended by the company
  • Management of SEM for the company's website

Main Duties

  • Research, write and upload engaging posts across social media sites for the company's portfolio of brands
  • Manage PPC campaigns as directed, identifying improvements to campaigns in order to maximise ROI
  • Manage the SEO for websites to increase visitor engagement and improve rankings
  • Put together engaging content led customer newsletters
  • Assist in the creation and compilation of the internal staff newsletter
  • Research and write relevant blogs and post them to the company websites
  • Update images, descriptions and products on the company websites
  • Update and manage the product lists for their portfolio of brands on marketplaces such as Amazon, Google Merchant and eBay
  • Assist in the organisation of exhibitions putting together schedules and organising delivery of equipment and marketing collateral
  • Attend exhibitions as directed, promoting the company's brands
  • Assist in the implementation of the company's marketing plan(s)
  • Assist in the creation of marketing collateral including brochures, leaflets and DM campaigns
  • Monitor competitor activity and feedback findings to the Business Development team
  • Undertake customer research and satisfaction surveys
  • Assist the Business Development Manager in the creation of marketing plans and reports for the company
  • Produce annual social media marketing plans for their brand portfolio
  • Generate a monthly report on SEM activity, identifying, developing, recommending and implementing improvements which are designed to increase engagement, usability and maximise ROI
  • Produce a monthly report on social media engagement across the company's brand portfolio, identifying, developing, recommending and implementing improvements which are designed to increase engagement
  • Generate a monthly report on newsletter engagement rates, identifying, developing, recommending and implementing improvements which are designed to increase engagement, usability and maximise ROI
  • Update and maintain the company's CRM system databases and other internal systems
  • Attend customer, company and networking meetings and training as directed
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company values
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective team and cross departmental relationships
  • Attend exhibitions generating leads and follow these up post event
  • Any other reasonable request

Experience & Skills Required

  • Minimum of 2 years marketing experience within the B2C & B2B markets
  • Experience of managing and developing SEM campaigns across multiple platforms
  • HTML and CSS knowledge is desireable
  • Experience of planning, organising and prioritising workload
  • CIM / IDM qualification or similar
  • Social Media Qualification
  • Excellent IT skills with a good knowledge of office and experience working with CRM
  • Good communicator with excellent presentation skills
  • Comfortable with change and can learn and easily adapt
  • Persuasive and a good negotiator
  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be resilient
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing, face to face and over the telephone
