Advancing People are pleased to be recruiting for a Marketing Assistant for one of our very established clients based in North Bedfordshire, who are leaders in their field of design & manufacture

Marketing Assistant/Marketing Graduate/Marketing Administrator

In this varied role, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales and Marketing team. This will involve research new leads for the sales teams, updating our clients products onto their websites and marketplaces, organising exhibitions, monitoring competitor activity and creating brand engagement through social media channels.
You will also support the Business Development Manager and Digital Marketing Executive to implement the overall company marketing strategies and tactics as directed.

Our client is based just north of Bedford so a full UK driving license and vehicle would be a benefit

Responsibilities

* Creating engaging posts across the company's social media platforms
* Supporting the sales team, by producing marketing collateral's such as brochures and leaflets, mailshots, re-engagement campaigns, sending direct marketing campaigns and collating databases of potential leads
* Manage the product listings across the company's websites and on marketplaces
* Organising the company's attendance at exhibitions in both the UK & Europe
* Monitor competitor activity

Main Duties


Social Media
* Research, write and upload engaging posts across social media sites for Tinware Directs portfolio of brands
* Produce annual social media marketing plans for Tinware Directs brand portfolio
* Produce a monthly report on social media engagement across the company's brand portfolio, identifying, developing, recommending and implementing improvements which are designed to increase engagement

Offline Communications
* Assist in the creation of marketing collateral including brochures, leaflets and DM campaigns
* Research potential target customers and produce data for the Sales Team to contact
* Support the sales team, sending out brochures, mailshots and direct marketing campaigns to generate new leads and re-engagement opportunities with existing customers
* Write engaging introductory letters and marketing collateral for the Sales Team to use to secure new business

Websites & Marketplaces
* Update images, descriptions and products on the company websites as directed
* Update and manage the product lists for Tinware Direct portfolio of brands on marketplaces such as Amazon, Google Merchant and eBay

Exhibitions
* Organise exhibition attendance putting together schedules, coordinating staff cover, organising delivery of equipment and preparing marketing collateral
* Assist in the development of exhibition stand brand messages and stand development and design

Competitor Monitoring
* Monitor competitor activity, feeding back findings to the Business Development team and proposing ideas to respond to threats

Digital PR
* Protect the company's reputation on social media through effective reputation management strategies
* Undertake customer research and satisfaction surveys
* Monitor industry relevant social media activity, providing timely comment and participation that enhances our brand reputation

General
* Manage the company's central brand inboxes, distributing enquiries to relevant departments
* Identify and make recommendations on future marketing activities
* Update and maintain the company's CRM system databases and other internal systems
* Attend customer, company and networking meetings and training as directed
* Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company values
* Proactively establish and maintain effective team and cross departmental relationships
* Attend exhibitions generating leads and follow these up post event
* Any other reasonable request


Key Skills

* Excellent English and copy writing skills
* Good communications skills
* Self-motivated and able to manage own time
* Excellent organisational skills

Full UK Driving License would be required.
